We Build Worlds supplies hosted interactive destination maps, customer map-management tools and related digital services.

When a contract starts

Website descriptions and prices invite you to order; they are not a binding offer. Your order is accepted and a contract starts when We Build Worlds confirms acceptance or begins providing the paid service, whichever happens first. These Terms, the selected package, checkout summary and any written proposal form the contract. If a written proposal expressly conflicts with these Terms, the proposal takes priority for that point.

Accounts and authority

You must provide accurate information, protect your password and promptly tell us about unauthorised access. If you order for a business, you confirm that you have authority to bind it. You are responsible for activity through your account unless caused by our failure to use reasonable care.

Prices, payment and renewal

Prices and the billing interval are shown before checkout. Prices exclude VAT where applicable. Monthly subscriptions renew each month; annual subscriptions are paid upfront and renew each year. Stripe processes payment securely. You authorise recurring charges until cancellation. We will give reasonable notice of a price change and it will apply from the next renewal, giving you an opportunity to cancel first.

Cancellation and consumer rights

You can cancel renewal by contacting We Build Worlds. Access normally continues until the end of the paid billing period and partial-period refunds are not normally given, except where the law requires one.

If you buy as a consumer, you may have a 14-day right to cancel a distance contract. If you expressly ask us to begin a personalised or digital service during that period, you may have to pay a proportionate amount for work supplied before cancellation; for digital content, your cancellation right may end once supply begins after your express consent and acknowledgement. Nothing in these Terms limits mandatory consumer rights or your rights where a service is faulty, not as described or not provided with reasonable care and skill.

Customer content and permissions

You keep ownership of content you provide. You confirm that you own it or have all permissions needed to upload, edit, publish and allow us to use it. This includes photographs, logos, names, descriptions and links. You grant We Build Worlds a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, copy, resize, adapt and display that content solely to provide, promote and support the contracted service. You are responsible for obtaining any required model, property, copyright or trademark permissions.

We Build Worlds content and intellectual property

The website, software, map systems, designs, templates and We Build Worlds content remain owned by We Build Worlds or its licensors. Your subscription gives you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service for your business during the paid term. It does not transfer the platform, source code or underlying intellectual property. Bespoke deliverables are licensed or assigned only as stated in a written proposal.

Map information and third-party material

Maps may use elevation, imagery, place, route and business information from third parties such as OpenStreetMap and mapping providers. It can be incomplete, outdated or approximate. Interactive maps are for visitor discovery and marketing, not navigation, emergency response, surveying, legal boundaries, accessibility assurance or safety-critical decisions. Third-party licences and terms may also apply.

Acceptable use

You must not upload unlawful, harmful, misleading or infringing material; attempt to bypass security; interfere with the service; scrape or resell the platform; introduce malicious code; or use a map for an unlawful purpose. We may remove content or suspend access where reasonably necessary to protect users, providers or the service.

Availability and changes

We use reasonable care to provide the service but do not promise uninterrupted availability. Maintenance, internet failures, third-party services and events outside reasonable control may affect access. We may make proportionate technical or security changes that do not materially reduce the core paid service.

Ending the service

Either party may end the contract for a serious breach that is not fixed within a reasonable period after notice. We may suspend or end service immediately for non-payment, unlawful use or a serious security risk. On termination, access ends and outstanding amounts remain due. Provisions intended to survive termination—including intellectual property, liability and payment obligations—continue.

Liability

Nothing excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or mandatory consumer rights. For business customers, We Build Worlds is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, revenue, business, goodwill or anticipated savings. Subject to the previous sentence, our total liability arising in any 12-month period is limited to the fees you paid to We Build Worlds for the affected service in that period. Consumer liability is limited only to the extent permitted by law.

General

If a provision is unenforceable, the rest remain effective. Delay in enforcing a right is not a waiver. You may not transfer the contract without our written consent; we may transfer it as part of a business reorganisation or sale if this does not reduce your rights. Only the parties may enforce the contract. Notices may be sent using the contact details supplied.

Law and complaints

Please contact us first about a complaint. These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales and its courts have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, you keep any mandatory protections and rights to bring proceedings available in the part of the UK or country where you live.
